Hockey Coaches

Frank Mitrano - Hockey Department Manager - mitranohs@cox.net
- Frank is 23 years old and has been playing hockey for over 17 years and coaching ice hockey for 7. Thus far, he has been lucky enough to play in numerous locations across the United States and Europe. Frank finished his Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology in May of 2009 at California State University of Long Beach, where he also competed in four years of Division II ACHA. In 2008, Frank was named goalie of the 2^nd team Western Region. Most recently Frank finished a 19-0-1 season with the Italian Varese Killer Bees of the Swiss Regio.

- Dominic is 20 years old and has been playing ice hockey for over 13 years and has been coaching for 4 years. Dominic has played in many cities throughout the United States and Canada. He has been the recipient of several tournament awards along with winning the Southwest Youth Hockey League during the 06-07 hockey season. Dominic currently attends California State University of Long Beach and was apart of their 2008-2009 ice hockey team.

- Ricky is 21 years old and has been playing goalie for over 6 years. He has worked with many goalie coaches throughout the United States and frequented camps in both the United States and Canada. Ricky played 4 seasons in the San Diego youth hockey system, and played Division II college hockey for California State University Long Beach the last 3 years.

Figure Skating Coaches

- Jacki has been on the ice since she was 6 years old. She was a competitive skater for 14 years. She was a five time National and International competitor. Which includes a National Junior Pairs Bronze medal. In 1998 Jacki began doing professional ice shows all over the world. Some of which included the 2000 Olympic Games' opening and closing ceremonies, several shows on Royal Caribbean, Russian Ballet on Ice in Hong Kong and since 2002 she has been doing seasonal shows at Knott's Berry Farm. Also in 2002, Jacki began coaching. She teaches all levels and ages. She is also the Skating School Director at Palos Verdes Ice Chalet.
Karynne Allbee - karynneallbee@gmail.com
- Karynne has been skating for over 19 years and has been teaching for 7; both private lessons and group classes. She has skated internationally as well as domestically, and currently spends her summers skating for Knott's Berry Farm. She will be moving to Italy in the fall to teach ice skating and English. Combined with her professional experience, past and current, as well as her love of children, she is a perfect choice for a skater of all ages and abilities.

- Jannie started ice skating when she was six years old and has competed locally as well as regionally. She has been an ice skating instructor for more than 13 years and is a Gold Level Instructor. Jannie currently also teaches English at South Torrance High School. She is graduate of UCLA and earned her Master's Degree in English and Comparative Literature from UC Irvine.

- Keja has been coaching skating since 2007. She has spent two years with the USA International Synchronized Skating team and has competed in Germany and Italy. She is a gold level 'Moves in the Field' and a gold level ice dancer.

- Joanie has 20 years of skating experience. She was the Jr. National Champion in Korea and the U.S. Adult National Champion. She has spent the last 12 years coaching skaters of all levels.

- Sarah has over 16 years of ice skating experience. She has completed her Gold Moves in the Field and Silver Ice Dancing tests through the United States Figure Skating Association. She has also competed at the national level in synchronized skating. Sarah completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at California State University, Long Beach. She is currently teaching 1st grade at an elementary school. She enjoys teaching skaters of all levels.
Amanda Simmons - simmonsxo@gmail.com
- Amanda started figure skating at the age of 4 years old here in Southern California. She trained under many Olympic and World Champion skaters. She competed for 17 years as a single skater, pairs, and with the California Gold synchronized skating team. She has passed her senior ladies test in USFS and completed her freestyle 8 level in ISI. Amanda's also trained and competed in gymnastics, dance, cheer, and condition training.Over the past 10 years, Amanda has worked with the president of figure skating in Thailand to help further their figure skating community by coaching and training their skaters. After graduating from California State University of Fullerton, she began coaching and choreographing for young inspiring skaters in the US and also works for the NHL team, the Anaheim Ducks.

- Kristy began skating at the age of 3. By the time she was 6 she was competing and performing in the local ice shows. Throughout her competitive career she trained with world class coaches, which led her to a national silver medal. At age 18 Kristy turned professional and toured all over the world, with a personal best performing as a soloist for Holiday on Ice. She has been coaching for 7 years, ISI and USFS.

- Daniel has been a figure skating professional for the last 20 years. He has performed world wide in numerous ice shows, such as Disney On Ice, Magic On Ice, The Simpsons On Ice for FOX TV. He also skated with the Russian Ballet On Ice in Hong Kong. Daniel has been coaching professionally for 15 years.
